15th Dec ‘11 - In the last few weeks we’ve finished all the singing and alot of the mixing for our debut album. It’s a really exciting venture, as, like always we have complete contol over everything. As a way of patting ourselves on the back we’ll be eating two whole chickens from Nandos this evening. The three of us are going our separate ways for Christmas soon.. but we’ll post some photos when we’re away. Before we bid you farewel please enjoy this Adventure Club Records compilation for free. There is Binko Swink, Olfar, Bear Driver, Nicky Francis and Emil The Defective. MryXmaz x
… So in the last week of November we’re running away. We’re going to temporarily convert a small cottage into a studio. Our plan for what will become of this session is to create our debut album.
As a band we’ve not been around long, but the writing and production of our previous recordings has evolved and twisted and turned, tune by tune. But now after a run of inspiring shows over the last year we feel we have found our sound. This is very exciting as we feel we can now tie all our songs together in the same recording sessions, capturing that live energy… so excited about this… RAMBLE RAMBLE!
So yeah, watch this space: > < that one.
We had such a lovely gig at the Lexington last week, thanks to a lovely lovely crowd and great soundman. It was great to support Chris Pureka, what a songwriter she is.
This sunday we’re at the Gladstone, Borough tube, then this Wednesday we’re at the Spice of Life supporting Goldheart Assembly.
Playing at Club Fandango at the Bull and Gate on the 25th of this month!
My album of the week: a woman a man walked by, PJ Harvey & John Parish
FYI went to see “In Time” tonight, FYI it was quite cheesy FYI. Great concept, bad script. Entertaining on the big screen all the same FYI. (ironic use of FYI, FYI).
I’ll keep you posted all my latest thoughts next week, bet you can’t wait.
